after consuming way too much fat and sugar during the holidays, it’s time to get back on track and start tracking my food intake again

how tall are you? do you like your height?
I’m 5'7", I like my height especially because I had spinal surgery that added a few inches of height, and that actually made me look thinner, being model height would be cool but I can wear heels when I’m with my boyfriend and he’s still taller which is nice :)

logical brain: you know damn well that those “a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips” quotes are largely bullshit, in this case especially so given that you can eat a frankly vast amount of calories before your body starts storing the excess as fat
ED brain: skip dinner wake up thinner BITCH
logical brain: your weight won’t have changed drastically from the three hours its been since you last checked
ED brain: but what if it did
logical brain: you’re using disordered eating as a coping mechanism stemming from an unwillingness to face your other problems and no matter how much you try to convince yourself that it’s just about wanting to be thin, it’s not and you’re gonna have to face it sometime
ED brain: sssssssskinny. skinny! :)
Logical brain: no one else is looking at you or thinking about your weight, in fact they’re all calling you skinny and are obviously worried about you being sick or something.
ED Brain: ok but you know they think you’re fat they’re just being nice.
logical brain: if you eat a reasonable number of calories throughout the day and exercise, you’ll lose weight and keep it off.
ED brain: today’s to-do list is starve all day, binge 2000 cals at midnight, and then lay in bed crying wondering why we aren’t losing :)
